Visit Saint Paul is the Official Convention and Visitors Bureau for the city of Saint Paul, MN. The team at VSP works tirelessly to promote Saint Paul as a Convention and Leisure Travel Destinations. The National Account Executives travel to a variety of tradeshows around the country, promoting Saint Paul and it's world class facilities to sports groups, agricultural, scientific, educational, and governmental conventions, as well as to major entertainment events such as Red Bull Crashed Ice and the Superbowl. 

My time at Visit Saint Paul has afforded me the opportunity to get to know myself on a professional level. Having spent a great deal of time in the world of hospitality, I struggled to make a connection between what I was familiar with in the working world, and what I wanted to accomplish with my Professional Communications degree. Fortunately for me, the time I had spent in front office operations had connected me with several branches of the hospitality industry, and ultimately lead me to the Convention & Visitors Bureau. For the past two years I have worked with the Marketing, Membership, and Sales teams; this was an amazing experience because not only did I get to have a hand in a wide variety of projects, but my amazing boss worked with me so that I was able to finish my degree while working full time hours. 

Some of the major projects I was able to be a part of include:

  • Clean-up and virtual overhaul of CRM system
  • Website re-design, integrating revitalized CRM into a responsive platform
  • Planning of annual meeting & membership appreciation events (200 and 500+ attendees)
  • Development of Convention Sales Social Media Marketing Strategy

The above mentioned projects were integral in discovering my passion for all things analytics + data driven. I find my enthusiasm and fondness for tourism, events, and client satisfaction only increases when the results are backed by numbers.
